How about take a look of the flowers we have grown, like orchids and epiphyllum ?  By the way, the background is epiphyllum flowers after a gray-emboss process.  The sun and the heat in Florida may not be perfect for orchid!  But, if you can find a nice shade, you can grow elegant moth orchids (Phalaenopsis) that show off flowers for several months.  Growing the gorgeous Cattlelya, the colorful Dendrobium, and the elegant Vanda is really no secret in Florida.  Take a look yourselves!  (OK, OK!)

Not interested in plants?  How about pets, like dogs?  I'd have nothing to say a few months ago but "I had two German Shepherds when I was a kid".  Of course, our little daughter Joan has been continuously asking for a dog.  Well, we just had not prepared for a dog yet, no backyard for dogs to run (unless the dogs love swimming!), no yard for "waste" deposit, no time to spare, no time to train....  Anyhow, after quite some time of "preparation", we finally got our first dog in the early summer of 98, a Maltese with a unique light brown color, instead of the common white color.  Shu-Ching got him a name that we all like, "Opus" .  A lot of work, but all of us agree that he is very cute and is definitely a positive addition to our family.

Well, Opus had no one to play with all the time, particularly during the time when we are out working or in school!  We decided to get an accompany for Opus, now a hunting dog beagle.  (Should have never started, right?)  Once again, Shu-Ching got him a name we like, "Symphony" .  So far, these two cute creatures have made our lives quite enjoyable!  Yes, yes, yes, a lot of work though!   Anyhow...
