    NOTES:

  1. Uno becomes un before a masculine singular noun and una before a feminine noun.
  2. In the compound numbers, like veintiuno, etc. -uno also becomes un before a masculine noun and una before a feminine noun:  veintiún libros, veintiuna bibliotecas
  3. The numbers dieciséis up to veintinueve are usually written as a single word, although they may also be written as three words: diez y seis, veinte y dos.
  4. The form cien is used before a noun or in counting.  In other cases, ciento is used.
  5. The numbers doscientos through novecientos show agreement with following nouns:  doscientos libros, doscientas bibliotecas.
  6. Mil is not used with un, unlike English.  It is invariable and does not change when used with dos, tres, etc.:  dos mil, tres mil.
  7. Millón does show plural, as in dos millones, tres millones.
TELLING TIME
¿Qué hora es? What time is it?
Es la una. It is is one o'clock.

Son las dos (tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez, once, doce). It is two (three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve).
2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, 
9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00
Son las dos y  ... uno, dos, tres, etc. It is one after two, two after two, etc.
2:01, 2:02, etc.
Son las tres menos dos. It is two before three.
Son las tres y cuarto. It is a quarter after three.
3:15
Son las tres menos cuarto. It is a quarter to three.
Son las cuatro y media. It is four thirty.
4:30
Son las cinco de la mañana. It is five in the morning.
5:00 a.m.
Son las cuatro de la tarde. Is is four in the afternoon.
4:00 p.m.
Son las ocho de la noche. It is eight at night.
8:00 p.m.
