WLCS 8-item shortform In response to requests for a shorter form of the scale. I picked the 8 items (4 of each direction) with the best item-remainders. They are items 1, 3, 6, 9, 10, 13, 15 & 16. I don't have much data on this version. In our CISMS1 study, coefficient alpha for Anglo countries (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, US) ranged from .71 to .80. Alphas were lower in Asia and some other nonEnglish speaking countries.
