CASE PEOPLE COMPANY LINKS AND UPDATES

Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Research and Practice 3rd ed. has a case about an I/O psychologists in chapters 3 to 14. All but one of these case people works in a practice setting, e.g., consulting firm, government, or private corporation. This page has links to their organizations, either where the case occurred, or their present employer. You can go to these sites to find more background information that will help put the case in perspective, and enhance understanding of what I/O psychologists do. Instructors: having students get additional information can enhance class discussion or written assignments based on one or more cases.

Joan Brannick (Chapter 3) is president of her own consulting firm in Tampa, Florida, Brannick Human Resource Connections.

Amy Carver (Chapter 4) was with Wachovia Bank at the time of this case.

Jonathan Canger (Chapter 5) is with a large I/O-related consulting firm TMP Worldwide.

Anna Erickson (Chapter 6) was with SBC Communications at the time of this case, but she has since moved to Best Buy.

Charles Evans (Chapter 7) worked for RHR International at the time of the case, but has since taken a new position as a consultant with Jackson Leadership Systems in Newmarket Canada.

Lynn Summers (Chapter 8) was in private practice at the time of his case, but has since cofounded an internet-based consulting company called Performaworks.

Charles Michaels (Chapter 9) is a professor at the University of South Florida.

Jeanne Carsten (Chapter 10) is with JP Morgan Chase , where she is a vice president.

Kerry Bunker (Chapter 11) worked for AT&T at the time of his case, but left to work at the Center for Creative Leadership.

Janis Cannon-Bowers (Chapter 12) works for the US Navy, in their Naval Air Warefare Center Training Systems Division. Do a search for Cannon-Bowers and you can see some of her recent activities/projects.

Steven Cohen (Chapter 13) is with Dove Consulting , in Minneapolis

Tom White (Chapter 14) was with Compaq Computer Company which has now merged with Compaq Australia. He has since left the company.
