The orchids of the genus Phalaenopsis are probably better known as the moth orchids.  The are many different colors of the flowers in this genus.  We have a few pots of the white ones.  The flower stems have just come out this month (November 1998), and will need another month to grow.  We plant two big plants together last summer.  With 2-3 new flower stems and 5 old stems, we can expect to see 40-50 flowers sometime before Christmas and last at least after next Chinese New Year.  Will definitely show pictures later!
