be staged by the Avenue Players Theatre at the Leepa-Rattner
Museum of Art, at the Tarpon Springs campus of St. Peterburg

True to Be Good will be performed in
New (2002): The Mint Theatre in New York will be
doing St. John Hankin’s The Charity that Began at
Home from October 7 until October 27, 2002. Hankin
was called by Shaw “the Mephistopheles of the New Drama” that he and Granville
Barker were promoting in the early 1900s.
The Charity that Began at Home has never been seen in New York,
and was last professionally produced in England in 1917. Consult the

and February of 2003. Jerome Kilty’s Dear Liar will play Nov. 9 &10 in
Cranston at the Hall Library, Nov. 17 & 24 at the Providence Athaneum, Dec. 19 at Lippitt
House in Providence, and Dec. 20 at the Kingston Library in Kingston. Shaw’s Candida will be produced in
Providence at the Perishable Theater, Dec. 4 through Dec. 15, Wed-Sun evenings
