New (2003):  On The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's Main Stage: PYGMALION By George Bernard Shaw, September 2-28, 2003.  Venue: F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. at Lancaster Rd. in Madison, NJ (on the campus of Drew University).

New (2002):  The Mint Theatre in New York will be doing St. John Hankin’s The Charity that Began at Home from October 7 until October 27, 2002.  Hankin was called by Shaw “the Mephistopheles of the New Drama” that he and Granville Barker were promoting in the early 1900s.  The Charity that Began at Home has never been seen in New York, and was last professionally produced in England in 1917.  Consult the Village Voice and other local listings.  If you mention that you heard about the show on the Shaw Bizness Website, you can purchase your tickets at the pre-opening discounted price of $28 (regular price for tickets for the dates Oct 7 - 27 is $35)."  See the theater’s website at www.minttheater.org.

New (2002-2003):  A Shaw Festival, under the direction of Sandra Laub, will produce a number of Shaw or Shaw-related plays in Rhode Island between November of 2002 and February of 2003.  Jerome Kilty’s Dear Liar will play Nov. 9 &10 in Cranston at the Hall Library, Nov. 17 & 24 at the Providence Athaneum, Dec. 19 at Lippitt House in Providence, and Dec. 20 at the Kingston Library in Kingston.   Shaw’s Candida will be produced in Providence at the Perishable Theater, Dec. 4 through Dec. 15, Wed-Sun evenings at 8:00, matinees at 2:00 (Call 401-364-9990 for more info on all of the above or email Sandra Laub at Laubcho@aol.com ).  Laub’s original play, “Mrs. Campbell! The non-Shaw part of the year consists of Feydeau's Le Dindon in a new English version called Cock of the Walk opening at the Mill Studio, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford on 12th February; The Turnabout, a new play by American writer Lewis Dixon, opening at the Theatre Royal, Margate on 14th April; and at the end of the year a Christmas tour of Pinero's The Schoolmistress.
