Within the following
sections of the bibliography, names in boldface preceded by “in” are
used to show that a given essay is in the collection designated. Reprinted
excerpts from books wholly about Shaw are rarely denoted unless they are
already listed under individual plays. Collections on specific topics are
sometimes repeated as the first items pertaining to those topics.
