The primary objective of this project is to investigate and develop a Susceptible-Infected-Recovered (SIR) model for epidemic disease. This model has predicated on the assumption that an epidemic begins when a small number of infected individuals carrying the disease are introduced into a community, that no one in the community is immune to the disease, and that the disease is spread directly between an infected individual and a non-infected, or susceptible individuals. Finally, we will forecast the number of cases among those who are neither susceptible nor infected once the epidemic has passed, and we will recommend additional research. For simplicity, we will assume that when the epidemic begins, susceptible individuals become infected initially and that infected individuals subsequently become infected.
