Mathematics-Physics Project

For this project report, I began by analyzing the question to properly determine what type of problem it is, including the correct formulas needed to solve the problem. As I began to work through the problem, I had to manipulate the original equation several times using both integration and derivation to achieve the desired equations for each step. Throughout these steps, I had to move forward with caution as each step is critical to the results. After completing the calculations, I was able to draw several conclusions. I was able to conclude that if Gerrit Alan Cole was able to throw a ball vertically upward with an initial velocity of 39.2 m/s, the ball would take 8 seconds to hit the ground with a speed of 39.2 m/s. I was also able to conclude that the ball would have a maximum height of 78.4 meters.
