Chronic kidney disease is a disease where the kidneys are damaged and unable to properly filter one’s blood. This paper uses study data to demonstrate a probability model that represents costs of post-acute care for a chronic kidney disease. Probability was used to calculate the expected values, which depicts the cost for care. Data is shown through equations, tables, and graphs. It accounts for the post-acute care costs at all five stages of the chronic kidney disease. It is found that as a person progresses through each stage of the disease, the costs of care increase.
