Finding area beneath or between curves in engineering.

by Joshua Crouse

Submitted : Spring 2022

This project looks into the issue of finding the area underneath or between curves in the science and engineering fields. The concept of integrals from calculus is used and more specifically definite integrals to find the area between two points for that curve. The area underneath or between curves can be a necessary calculation to progress in an experiment in these fields. This project shows the connections between real-world situations within engineering or science with the use of integrals from calculus and how this method can be much more effective than other lower-level formulas for finding areas or volumes.
