ON THE MODELING OF POPULATION DYNAMICS OF TUMOR CELLS IN LUNG CANCER

by Mia La Belle

Submitted : Spring 2022

This project features the practical problem of mathematical modeling representative of cell populations in cancer. Such mathematical representation is a fairly new application of calculus and has great promise for improvements in biomedical sciences. An analysis for the formulation of one such model [Eur. Phys. J. Plus. 137 (2022)] is carried out with review of how the initial data was collected and the mathematical process to manipulate calculus as to achieve the proposed final model. The results of the article mentioned are then discussed. Finally, further application and use in medicine is presented with notes relating to the project and report. Material that has been used or adapted includes equations, tables, and figures, which have all been correctly identified throughout the report.
