Submitted : Spring 2021

The objective of this project is to approximate the total area that a potentially contagious airborne pathogen covers when expelled in a cough or sneeze. The graphs show the paths and directions particles from sneezes and coughs and how they travel across several feet. Taken into consideration is the height of the subject and how it affects the trajectory of the path in question. The findings from the data show that approximation using rectangles (both left point and right point) can show an accurate approximation of how far particles travel.
