Strength and Moment

In this project what I did was use integrals to calculate the center of mass, the center of mass for different given shapes in order to test for strength and moment. In order to complete the given problem from Brent Williams, a civil engineer, I used an integral formula found below (included in the mathematical description and solution approach) in order to calculate the given results which can be used for a multitude of things such as center of mass. There are many other applications that this formula can be used for, but in this case I am applying it to objects that are being used to build a portion of the 10 foot long bridge that has a 90 degree turning point. After completing this project for Brent Williams I was able to correctly identify the weakest portion of the bridge.
