Because COVID 19 has negatively impacted all walks of life, including college campuses, we wanted to use calculus to obtain data that would be useful for students who wish to return to regular campus life. We used an equation to demonstrate that antibodies from a COVID infection are difficult to quantify and likely short-lived for much of the population.  Then, we attempted to calculate the percentage of the population who would need to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity to argue that widespread vaccination is the most efficient way to accomplish this.
