Using Statistics to Compare Tidal Data at Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club in Naples Bay

Owning a yacht is more challenging than some may realize, and proper navigation techniques are required as very large boats do not cope well in shallow water; proper avoidance is a must. This project analyzes the data of three years of NOAA tide charts in Naples Bay, FL. Comparing and contrasting tidal data as random variables to determine if yearly tidal patterns in Naples Bay, just outside of Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club, are consistent. Large yachts and other boats frequent this area that is well known for its shallow banks. The results of this investigation support the claim that there are some tidal patterns per certain months across the years in Naples Bay.
