Anti-Satellite Weapon Simulation

Submitted : Fall 2020

Anti-satellite weapons(ASAT) are space weapons designed to incapacitate satellites for strategic military purposes. Several nations possess operational ASAT and were never used in actual warfare but few nations had shot down their own satellites in the show of power using the ASAT.  Only the USA, Russia, China, and India have demonstrated these capabilities successfully. ASAT can be used as a defensive measure against an adversary’s space-based nuclear weapon and a countermeasure for antiballistic missile defense (IBM), This procedure involves a system of equations and knowledge of projectile motion, gravitation, and few other physics concepts.
