Improving Efficacy of Control Systems for Robotics Students

by Jay Sanders

Submitted : Spring 2020

PID Controller Systems are an industry standard and have been for decades in terms of correcting error with a given input. This project looks to improve the abilities of middle through high school students to use these controllers in various robotics applications. Robotics competitions provide a valuable way for students interested in engineering to begin understanding what it takes to become an engineer, but with the documentation for certain systems, it can potentially become too daunting. With a bit of new documentation that explains the concepts and not just the equations, it is possible to help a future generation of engineers and programmers achieve greatness.
