Systems Engineer Response Time to Chromatography Experimentation Labs

A probability function was used to determine the probability of a 2-hour response time by a systems engineer to provide technical support for a chromatography experimentation lab. There is an 8-hour window for the technological support that the chromatography lab demands, and a 2-hour window before their data must be recalibrated. A continuous random variable, X, and a decay parameter, m = 1/m, were used in the probability density function to find a probability solution. The function F(t) was integrated on an interval from 0 to 2 resulting in a percentage of approximately 22.1%. The probability that a systems engineer can provide support within 2 hours is small, therefore it is most likely that these researchers will be required to recalibrate their data.
