Calculus is the backbone of physics, without it we won’t be able to solve various problems based on center of mass, work done etc. In this project we trying to figure out what is work done. How to calculate work done and how we use calculus to solve the given problem. In mechanics, if a body is traveling from point A to point B with some uniform action then instead of considering the whole action, we just consider a small displacement for which the force was active and considering the uniform force throughout we just a take small-displacement ‘ds.’ We integrate that F.ds to obtain work done. For something to be considered work, the force you apply, and the distance you apply must be in the same direction. Work done from point A to point B is W =. Calculation of work done is important because it helps us calculate the energy consumed by something. To sum up we calculate we work to calculate energy as calculation of energy is important to analyze how a certain machine is functioning.
