The main goal of this project is to create a sustainable model that imitates the idea of the prosthetic leg through analyzing all of the applying forces. Even though the model is based on the idea of prosthetic leg, it is built for people without disabilities. This same concept of the model can be seen in the circus, where a person maintains a balanced state while on an incredible height without falling. Through calculating all of the applying forces, the design could achieve the ideal state which will allow it to function most effectively. Another essential force that applies to the imitated prosthetic leg model that causes a great impact on the human body’s movement is torque. Torque, simply put, is the spinning force that tend to cause rotation along a certain axis. Therefore, this paper will also focus on the idea of Moment of Inertia and the Center of Mass to integrate and estimate torque. Taking a step further, the density of different materials is also considered and compared in order to provide insights as to which would provide the most effectiveness.
