The project is about mathematical modeling of chemical reactors. Fluidized bed reactors are one of the most used reactors in catalytic pyrolysis. Catalytic pyrolysis is a process that transforms plastic solid waste into fuel. The equations of the project present a general method for modeling chemical reactors. There are two types of systems in modeling; distributed and lumped systems. The formers are more complex and usually imply partial differential equations, whereas the latter are simpler, resulting in ordinary differential equations. The fluidized bed reactors for catalytic pyrolysis can be modeled through both methods.
