Review of the Nuclear-Cytoplasmic Ratio

Submitted : Fall 2019

The nuclear-cytoplasm ratio (N:C) is an old measurement with some new uses. It has been shown to have some use in cancer prognosis and in cell development. N:C has only been measured at a single instance in time. In this paper I conjecture that the N:C ratio can and should be characterized as a function of time. The applications of viewing this ratio in this rate of change manner may lead to increased cancer prognostics and treatment decision capability.
