Determining the Rate of Production in a Chemical Reaction

by Jackson Jasinski

Submitted : Fall 2019

One of the main focuses of manufacturing is the analysis of the process that makes the actual product. In certain manufacturing plants reactions are used to make the products, so to determine the amount of products made, the amount of reactants required, and how much time it will take are all very important details that the process engineer must determine. Using differential equations, chemical formulas, and rates the process of producing many products can be analyzed to be more effective. This project will use an example problem of a chemical reaction to determine the amount of products produced and reactants used after an amount of specified time.
