Optimization of Cardiac Disease Preventions Through Diet

by Tam Tran

Submitted : Fall 2014

This project utilizes data gathered from previous studies in order to establish trends between changes in recent dietary options and increased cultural cardiac disease. Different ethnic groups were looked at in order to determine which group(s) had the highest risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD). The data collected illustrated that diet did not positively correlate with increased risk of cardiovascular disease in children under 15 for all ethnic studies. However, poor diet led to an increased chance of developing CVD in individuals 15 years of age and older.
