In the broadest sense my research interest is the holistic approach to the role of water-rock interaction within the system Earth, using chemical, biological, hydrogeological, mineralogical, mathematical, thermodynamic and engineering approaches.

Center for Water Analysis

The USF Center for Water and Environmental Analysis specializes in the determination of inorganic ions in complex water samples and the chemical composition of environmental and geological samples (e.g., soil, sludge and rocks).

Biocomplexity Workgroup

The biocomplexity work group is a group of geologists, geochemists and biologists from the University of South Florida and Washington University in St. Louis. We are currently funded through a NSF BE:CBC grant to study the effect of elevated arsenic concentrations on an ecosysem.
