• We request that samples be run in multiples of 8 to maintain maximum efficiency of the machine.
  • Sequences will be run twice a week (to begin with, more as needed later) at 5:00 pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
  • A copy of the Beckman Analysis Software for data conversion and analyses will be made available to all users.
  • Troubleshooting and software documentation are available for downloading.
  • Samples will initially be analyzed by the long fast run 1, LFR-1, option (assumes 800-900 bp).
  •  The .CEQ (results) files will available on the CASCOMP server (usually mapped to the K drive) in the Gareylab folder accessible via the Internet.
  • Samples should be brought in 0.2 mL tubes. Plates will only be accepted if they are full (96 reactions).
  • Sample names are limited to six characters unless prior arrangements are made. In such cases an EXCEL data sheet containing the names should be brought on disk.  If more than 16 samples are to be run for single person, an EXCEL file containing the names should be brought on disk.  EXCEL sample files are available.
  • All sample names should be entered into the data log (notebook by sequencer).
  • Samples will be run on a first come, first served basis.
